The daily random bits
Jul. 6th, 2005 09:04 amI got nothing this morning.
I think I probably should have set up the air conditioner last weekend. It's going in this weekend no matter what. That will be a Saturday ToDo.
Also one day this weekend, I need to make a grocery store run for foods that are neither too hot or too cold and do not require any chewing. I have a list. Oh and straws.
Didn't I promise to cut down on the dental entries? You so cannot trust me.

Antibiotics cause crotch rot? I didn't know that.
They should come with a warning label. "Side effects may include headache, nausea, or crotch rot." Wouldn't you love to see that written on a bottle of pills?

Date: 2005-07-06 07:35 pm (UTC)Antibiotics kill the bacteria that keeps the delicate vagina balance, well, in balance. When that bacteria gets killed, vaginitis sets in. I'm going to use a machupicchu trick for this next part because you might want to avert your eyes unless you can handle disgusting TMI

Vaginitis is one of THE most uncomfortable things ever - your entire crotch itches like there is no tomorrow and stinks to high heaven and it hurts like hell to pee.

In the old days, the only fixes were only available by prescription. Today you can get them over the counter which is at least something.
But, it still sucks. I try to stay as far away from antibiotics as possible. But, this time, it's probably not a good idea.

I guess I'll add "vaginitis" to the long list of reasons I am grateful I am not genetically female.

Date: 2005-07-06 09:11 pm (UTC)I remember back in the day before there were all these over the counter remedies, it was brutal. The prescription stuff was harder to find under the table and more expensive that crack but the relief was bound to be better than a crack high (no experience there - just guessing). I used to get a good bout of vaginitis every couple of months just for whatever... but antibiotics is a sure bet to fire up the old crotch.

Date: 2005-07-06 10:43 pm (UTC)A couple of years ago a male doctor offered to write me a pre-emptive prescription for Diflucan and couldn't believe that I would rather use a topical than take a pill. He agreed with my reasoning; which is that my whole body isn't having a problem I don't need to take anything systemically especially when it has potential side effects, but said that women never see it that way.
