susandennisMy swim this morning was spectacular. I try to do 2,000 yards a day and 1,760 (a mile) in under an hour. Usually I manage. Today I did the mile in 55 mins. And I wasn't even particularly hurrying. Then I polished off the other yardage lazily. It was one of those days when if I wasn't so hungry, I probably could have swam for another hour.
And then, still hungry, I went to the grocery store. I wanted to buy everything but going out of town for a week made that seem even dumber than it really was. So I got bread which is what I needed and then wheeled through McDonalds for a sausage biscuit and now I'm home.
While I was swimming, I walked myself through getting from my house to the airport, on the plane, into a cab and into the hotel. I mentally organized the easy to reach part of my suitcase with immediate needs and thought of three things that I'd forgotten to pack, plus getting liquids into a plastic bag. So my swim was fast and productive!!

Often, when I come home, Zoey is on a fleece blanket on the fish bed in the front room. So last night I moved the Dropcam so that while I'm gone, I can check on her. The signal back there is not at all strong. I may have to tweak something. But I like the idea of checking in on her now and again. http://dropc.am/p/susandennis
