First of all, I was on the fence about renting the scooter.  I am totally off the fence now.  It was a brilliant idea.

My brother's plane was late so instead of waiting a couple of hours for him to come in, I waited 3.  I could have gone to the hotel but the line for cabs takes about 45 minutes to get through.  When you are by yourself, it seems like 4.5 hours.  When you are with your brother whom you only get to see once a year, it seems like 20 minutes so I waited and it was fine. I had a sandwich that was delicious and soon he was there.

We stood in line for the cab and then because I'm an idiot, we told the cab drive that we wanted the Wynn when we wanted the Encore.  They are connected but close only in Las Vegas terms.  We walked for miles and miles and miles and I had to stop and catch my breath a couple of times.  We finally got here but whew.  We found the scooter and all was so much better.  My brother finally admitted that walking so slowly for so long hurts his hips.   Keeping up with the scooter is better for him and way way way better for me.

We had to go back to the Wynn to get our CES badges.  This was not easy because we kept getting funky directions.  We finally got there to find out that the badge guy lost his internet access and couldn't do badges.  WTF???

So we went to drink.  And then we went to dinner which was just delicious.  Then we came back up to the room so Bill could watch sleep through the football game.  Fine by me.  I'm about ready to turn in. I generally don't sleep that well on these trips. But I think tonight may be different. I'm sleepy!

I very much envy you right now. I could use some warm weather and more vacation time.

I don't think I would ever be keen on Vegas for the gambling and stuff, but I understand some of the best meals can be had in that city.

So is there swimming in vegas?

Actually yes. It's not easy to find pools open this time of year but our hotel has one. It's only open from 9-5 but at least there's one. And we're swim ready.

I don't remember from previous visits, but how is your breathing in the drier climate?

Not that much if any. It's kind of hard to tell because I'm not sitting on my ass like I am at home :)
