Random bits
Jul. 13th, 2005 08:14 amI can bite but I cannot chew. At least not without pain. The upper back three teeth on either side are still really sore. The bottom teeth are fine but it does take two to tango so chewing is not an option yet. I need to google about how long these stitches will be annoying me as well.

Last night while I was watching the as boring as usual All Star game, I glanced down at my feet which were propped up on the ottoman and noticed that for the first time in recent memory my ankles were not fat! Sometimes my feet aren't but these days my ankles are always swollen. I'm guessing that six hours in the dental chair with my feet in the air was the magic bullet. The right one (he always goes first) is starting to get a little puffy but the left one is hanging in so far today.

Last week the folks at Swisscom Mobile requested a minor (but fairly critical) change to their webpage. It was an easy fix that I did right away. This morning I came into a wonderful thick luscious looking bar of Swiss chocolate. I can bite and I will. They can have as many changes as they want.

Sheri is ramping up for the end. Today she delivers a new office chair. It's actually not new. But it is purple. The local ASID chapter is moving or downsizing or something and it's surplus. Score! Tomorrow the window seat gets installed!! And a message shelf for the hallway and a cable hiding shelf for the desk. Sunday, the first section of hall shelves will be finished and the next section started. Next Wednesday, I get the chaise lounge and the mattress for the window seat. And the mural should be done.
We're getting towards the end of the list...!

Date: 2005-07-13 04:32 pm (UTC)In the vast majority of years (inclusing this one), the All-Star game falls on the second Tuesday of July, which means that there's an English country dance, which means that we can escape the boredom and hype of watching the game. On the other hand, because it starts so late and usually drags on so long, we generally get to see the last couple of innings. This year, though, our drive home was slightly prolonged by giving a friend a ride to Rockport, and we were shocked to discover, by the time we got the TV on, that the game was over!
An All-Star game that lasted less then three hours -- whodathunk?
