The 2 am pep rallies this morning were a bit subdued.  I do hope east coast morning TV will be able to carry on without live shots of Seattle people yelling and screaming and honking horns.   I'm guessing there won't be much of it after today.  And a big whew on that.

There is a lot of talk about having the superbowl here one day.  I don't know specifics but I gather they would have to add seats to the stadium and jump through other hoops so I'm guessing the actual Seattle Super Bowl game day is maybe a decade or more in the future.  Hopefully, after my lifetime.  We had the final four here one year when the Kingdome was still standing.  Things were a level of crazy that took a long time to recover from.

I spent most of yesterday playing with my new phone - a Moto X.  I did not need a new phone.  My Nexus 5 is a great phone.  But the Moto X feels like it's prettier, tricked out, cuter, littler cousin.  I can sell the Nexus 5 on gazelle and recoop all but $100 of what I paid for the Moto X but I might just hang onto the Nexus 5 and not sell it - at least for a while.  It's currently on a $2 a day T-Mobile plan - I only play the $2 on days when I use the phone.  So the phone is all set up and ready to step in when needed and works fine and free on WiFi.

HA! I just heard on NPR, squeezed in between the news of who is going to be watching the game where and what the players mothers are saying and what time the players may or may not have flossed their teeth, is a note that we have snow in the forecast.

There is snow in the forecast for tomorrow and again for next Saturday.  A 10% chance of a dusting.  Now, normally, this would mean SNOWPOCOLYPSE 2014 headlines and breaking TV news complete with trumpets.  However, today, I'm afraid, the news hole is just full.    It would be hilarious if the predictions are wrong and we got a ton of snow...  our news teams are planning to go to bed about midnight tonight and sleep until Easter.  Boy, wouldn't they be surprised.

My plans for today will be centered here at home inside at least until 3 pm.  And then I may make a trip to Costco.  I have lots of stuff on my list and it could be either the perfect time to go or the worst.  I guess we'll see.

In the meantime, I have the movie Crush to watch.  My brother keeps talking about it - he says it's his all time favorite movie and I probably will hate it.  One of the library's copies had my name on it and I picked it up yesterday.  Watching that today will likely happen.

But, first, breakfast.

They didn't even mention it on last night's news...whereas they would usually have like a 3 hour special report!

My neck of the woods was surprisingly busy around the time of the Super Bowl. Shopping center parking lots were full, and the place we went for lunch was quite busy. I was surprised.
