Not nearly often enough but, now, at least once or twice a year, I get together for brunch with [livejournal.com profile] ljtourist and I never ever fail to come home empty handed.  He is as much a night person as I am a morning one.  He a scholar to my 'school? ick'!  The list of our differences goes on for miles which gives us lots of fodder for conversation and teaches me all kinds of new things.  Today I learned about tires, discovered a treasure trove of puzzles (Simon Tatham's Portable Puzzle Collection), a whole new breakfast place not far from swimming pool ... and that's just the starter set!

The food/restaurant turned out to be a bit of a disappointment but the brunch in toto was fantastic.

I just read that one of my LJ friends has gone from 0 to 2 year old dogs and I have such canine envy.  I have no idea why but I really really want a dog.  A little dog.  But a dog.  There is no way. I could not walk the dog. I wouldn't really even want to - not the way a dog needs walking.  But I just melt when I see a doggie face.  I think maybe I want one because I can't have one.  Oh, here comes Zoey to distract me.

---

My nose continues to bleed.  Nearly daily. But they are only very small bleeds - 4-5 tissues top.  But still very annoying.  I set a milestone on my calendar - 72 hours.  Every time it bleeds, I move the sucker.  If I ever get there, I will be able to declare it done.  If not, I'll probably stoke out from discontinuing the aspirin.  There are way more irritating and worse problems to have. I'm trying to be grateful that I don't have one of those.

---

It was so windy here yesterday that the two tower heat lamps that my bear neighbors have on their terrace blew over.  I don't seem them home so maybe they haven't even discovered it yet.

---

The rest of today's agenda is the usual...  TV or book with bear knitting.  And tomorrow is probably the same.  The pools are all closed.  :(

Have you had your nose checked out ? It just may be a Polyp. Anything that bleeds for a while is best to have investigated.Probably nothing to worry about but i do hope you don't mind me giving advice when you haven't asked for it !I'm Megan by the way and as i said before i love your blog !

Sorry about the canine envy! I do have to say this is taking some getting use to. And I have never walked two dogs at the same time before. That was different.

Is there by any chance an over-negation in your first sentence? Context suggests that you meant to say that you never come home "empty-handed", but as written it indicates that you always do.
