Bite Me... or... Tooth Report
Jul. 18th, 2005 09:00 amOk, here we are at very close to exactly a week later.
My stitches are undetectable. Finally. I did end up snipping a lot of them. And if you have never tried to scissor something inside the roof of your mouth, lemme tell you, it ain't easy. What I discovered was that usually after I ate, I'd jar another loose and have to snip. I did the last one last night. There may well be more in there but I can't feel them so that's fine by me.
I have not taken any ibuprofen or tylenol today. So far. And this is the first day that I haven't. I had oatmeal for breakfast so that wasn't much of a chewing test. My jaws have only a tinge of someone's-been-in-there-fucking-around feeling and while I can push against the part of my face under my nose and feel the same kind of thing, it is not nearly as tender as it was even last Friday.
Oh and the Chlorhexidine Gluconate - ugh.
hlee, good call to avoid. It's nasty stuff. I'm going to keep it up twice a day until I go back in Thursday afternoon. Depending on what the dentist says then, I may well just decide that I've done my Chlorhexidine Gluconate time. Ugh.
So far I can say that the after affects of this whole thing are not nearly as painful as I imagined but they are lasting way longer than I thought they would.
