Wednesday early morning swims lately have turned out interesting crowds. The pool is open from 6:30-8 MWF. Mondays and Fridays are rarely crowded and usually have the same folks week after week. But Wednesdays are special. It's a day for one-offs - 'let's give this a try' - and for buddies - 'wanna do this together?' plus the regulars. Sometimes it gets weird and/or crowded. But, today it was just interesting.

There was a very large woman who came in and slowly made her way to the edge of the pool. No goggles, no cap and in the blink of an eye, I did some profiling. A newby, slow swimmer, will fuck up my lane and cause issues... Oh bother! The next thing I knew, she'd done a perfectly stunning dive in the lane next to me and did half the pool near the bottom without surfacing. When she got to the pool's edge, out of nowhere she produced a cap and googles and proceeded to do some pretty impressively fast laps. It was very cool to watch. Lesson learned.

There is nothing on the agenda for today at all. The electrician is supposed to be by this week to check my ceiling light fixtures that keep failing but he's pretty notorious for saying he'll be here and not being here so I'm not holding my breath.

I have several good books going and stuff on TiVo to watch. I have one can-do-whenever errand if I want to get out of the house but it's nice not to have to.
