Michael Connelly's latest book - which Connelly lovers say is one of his best - is waiting for me at the library. I'll be stopping by there on the way home. There's a big drug store next door. Yesterday, three times, I thought 'oh, I can get that at Bartell's when I'm there tomorrow.' Today, I can only remember one of those things.

I want a button on my head that when I have one of those kinds of thoughts, I just press the button and the thought goes into a My Documents kind of place where I can get it back when needed. Oh, also, I need the data erased when said item goes over the bar code reader.

I'm guessing someone is already on this new invention. I just with they would hurry up.

They had General Tso's chicken at lunch today. They generally rotate the same menu through every 4 weeks or so but I never remember their having General Tso's chicken before. It was pretty damn tasty.

My tasting issues have not been so issue-y lately. I can distinguish flavors in pretty much everything. I still have difficulty with one group which I am having trouble nailing down - it's kind of in the bread-like family. For me, it has a piculiar perfume. It's bread, for sure. It does not smell like bread used to but it's other things as well. A smaller group than it used to be, I'm happy to report.

It sure makes me wonder if getting my gums all cleaned out really didn't make a difference. Oh maybe it's all psychosomatic. Actually, if it gets fixed, I don't give a rats ass how or why.

Use "HandyShopper" or the "To Do" list on your Treo to jot down thoughts like that for the store. :)

I know, I know... but, especially on weekends when I'm at home, finding the damn Treo means hunting down the land line and calling the cellphone number and by that time I've totally forgotten what it was I wanted to put on the list. Too bad I am too old to be a Space Cadet.

But if you know how and why you are more likely to be able to solve the problem if it ever comes up again. I'm a big fan of How and Why.
