Apr. 29th, 2014 01:29 pmThis is an intersection I pass everyday on the way home from the pool.

Pedestrians are always crossing against the light and oh so slowly. Cars are all over the place - turning wrong and stopped trying to figure out where to go. The tracks are new and for the trolley-to-come and so they added even more overhead wires. But, the thing that I realized today was that I rarely see any of this.
I've lived here for more than 20 years and still seeing snow covered mountains from random intersections on my way home still tickles the bits out of me. You can put all kinds of crap in front of me and I always see and wonder at the snow.

Date: 2014-04-29 11:34 pm (UTC)Some days, you have to mentally regress yourself to a child like state and just be in awe of everything to appreciate where you live, the things you have, the things you can do. And not just have ice cream for dinner. ;-)
When I moved back to Colorado from Pennsylvania, I made damn sure to look at the mountains every day. Smell the clean, pine scented air every day. Watch the sunset when I could.
My life was fuller then than now. At lease here in OKC, I get the joys of dodging tornadoes.
