Going home
Jul. 28th, 2005 04:41 pmThe teddy bears have a home!!! I ran into one of my neighbors on the way upstairs this afternoon and she said she was collecting stuff for a batter women and children refuse. She missed the big haul but I do have stuff - a lamp and some nesting tables and a bunch of shoes that I will never wear and some sheets and pillow cases and then the lightbulb went off....
"Any chance you could find homes for a couple dozen knitted teddy bears?"
I thought she was going to cry as she told me how much the children would love them.
Perfecto. She's coming tomorrow to pick them up. I didn't ask but I'm guessing that maybe she might even take the future ones - it's still way too hot to be knitting any afghans!
This is the current bunch... minus 3 that have gone on to other new homes.
