Going home

The teddy bears have a home!!! I ran into one of my neighbors on the way upstairs this afternoon and she said she was collecting stuff for a batter women and children refuse. She missed the big haul but I do have stuff - a lamp and some nesting tables and a bunch of shoes that I will never wear and some sheets and pillow cases and then the lightbulb went off....

"Any chance you could find homes for a couple dozen knitted teddy bears?"

I thought she was going to cry as she told me how much the children would love them.

Perfecto. She's coming tomorrow to pick them up. I didn't ask but I'm guessing that maybe she might even take the future ones - it's still way too hot to be knitting any afghans!

This is the current bunch... minus 3 that have gone on to other new homes.

I love those bears. That's such a great pattern. I especially like the green and ivory one up in the front of the picture. Cute color choices. :)

You have great teddy bear taste! I saved out two to keep in case of teddy bear emergency - the first one (green with blue bowtie) and the green and ivory one!

p.s. I'm so glad to hear you are ok. I had not seen your doctor report entry yet so I was double delighted to get this comment because I knew it meant there was news in your journal and there was!

Oh, it's a crappy puzzle picture... Maybe before pick up tomorrow I'll make one that is puzzle worthy.

Thank you... they are all gone now which is good plus there is a new generation already coming off the needles.
