susandennisI had a heated talk with myself about the heat. I choose NOT to be miserable until it is cool again.
So I got to work. I made a pretty darned good breakfast. I put in the load of laundry that I never did yesterday. I cleaned out the fridge and freezer and washed all the dishes and wiped down the kitchen and took a load of garbage and a load of recycling down to the garage bins.
I hollowed out a space for the 10 pound box of stuffing that I bought at Walmart last week in the closet. That freed up a space in the fish room to kind of hide the coat tree that used to be in the front hall. You can't actually 'hide' much in what is basically an open loft but at least the thing doesn't trip you coming and going and I can use it to hang stuff on where it's easy to get to and not visible until you actually get into that room.
I do feel so much better when everything is put away. It's wild. I spent the first 60 years of my life never putting anything away until I was forced to. When I was little, my mother used to beg and badger and nag at me to pick up my room. Finally, she'd go in with a big box and put everything that wasn't put away into the box and make me buy back what I wanted with my allowance. Even that didn't help.
And then the switch got flipped and now I'm pretty OCD about things not put away. I got no clue what happened but now is prettier.
Time to start a new bear and see if there are any CBS Sunday Morning stories that aren't reruns I've already seen.
