I just heard on NPR that there is a move to ban smoking on the coastline of Oregon - on the actual beach. We've come a long way, baby.  I remember ash trays in grocery stores and people using the floor for the butts instead.  I remember getting yelled at once while waiting in line to pay for cigarettes. I was probably 14/15 at the time and the lady behind me in line was really upset because I was buying cigarettes made in Virginia instead of our home state of North Carolina.

Probably because of the 40 years I smoked cigarettes, I no longer have the lungs to smoke the now legal weed. Now, that's fitting punishment, I think.

I am off to the Bellevue Art Museum fair today. The sun is out which would normally discourage me but it's still cool enough to go and I do have a new sun hat. And, if it's too hot, I can just come on home.

Not as pressure of any sort - but if you have the wish, you could probably use a vaporizer. They deliver the buzz without much smoke, if set properly.

I'd be happy to let you try mine, if you wish. Perhaps on the day we go for milkshakes and donuts, even. :)

I was going to recommend edibles -- cookies, lollipops, etc.

My problem is that I was a 24/7 chronic pothead for about 12 years, and it just made me paranoid at the end.

Awwwwww, well hopefully soon! I know the medical marijuana patients can get them because I know people who have cards.

I did get my card (paper actually) last week in Longview. The process was simple, I was interviewed by the doctor who was in Vancouver over a Skype connection. I had several qualifying conditions evidently, including to my amazement, GERT! How in the hell does pot help indigestion? It seems that if you have any condition that causes chronic pain (among a large list of others) you can qualify for approval. Dispensary prices are about half of the what the retail outlets charge.
