And gout

My toe that sometimes enjoys gout is, once again, trying to enjoy it again. For the record (I use my journal to track it), it started yesterday morning and its not horrible. I think I got ahead of it with the drugs but it's still hanging on today.  Some ice will help.  The last few attacks have been very mild. Here's hoping this attack falls into that category.

My partner has gout too. Very specific foods seem to trigger it.

My doctor says that, too, foods do it and even gave me a list of likely suspects but I've never been able to figure out which. Happily, my episodes are really infrequent and never as severe as the first couple of times when I didn't know what it was or how to make it better.

Sorry to hear it. I've had it in my toe and know how painful it can be.

It sure can be a how-high-do-I-amputate-to-get-rid-of-this-owie pain, but, at least I know the early signs and that if I get on it with my gout pills, it goes away soon and does not get horrible.
