Doing the Cha Cha cause...
Aug. 16th, 2005 10:50 amThe Roomba has been delivered!!! The UPS website says that when I get home this aft, we can let the auto sucking begin! (ewww just had a flash vision of mouth on tailpipe... )
And speaking of sucking... The DirtDevil I bought on Sunday is a nice little piece of work. It's base is more narrow than Shark's so it can get to more places (but takes more strokes to cover big real estate). It seems to pick up more stuff but that could be because the Shark was getting a little long in the tooth, if you get my drift. The DirtDevil has a little charging base that it lives in and that's a bit more handy for me than the Shark's plug in deal.
I just looked it up and the Roomba needs 3 hours of charging. So I'm thinking about 8 p.m. tonight Jake and Betty are in for a treat!

The hall, I think swiffing is sufficient.

Date: 2005-08-16 06:28 pm (UTC)Edwardian architecture didn't anticipate the Roomba. We're screwed.
i think the roomba is basically a spendy cat toy.

You crack me up. And I bet no one who sees you on the street would ever take you for someone who would say things like this. I just love that.

Date: 2005-08-16 07:24 pm (UTC)I have a very rare (for me) feeling that one day I am going to run into you somewhere. I suspect you won't know me but I'll know you immediately and I'll tell you it's me. It's going to be fun. You wait and see.

I've thought of that too, actually. I don't know if I would recognize you but I think I might. And although we live within just a couple of miles of each other, we tend to go out and about in opposite directions. We both go on walks, though, and could certainly conceivably one day cross paths that way. I've gone on one or two walks (even my most recent (http://www.flickr.com/photos/26861346@N00/sets/710242/)) where I've passed by near your place and even mentioned it (http://www.flickr.com/photos/26861346@N00/31865493/in/set-710242/) in my entry about it.

Thanks!
You probably missed it because this time I did not direct-link any of the photos in my journal entry -- I merely posted a link to the Flickr gallery, which is a lot easier, especially since Flickr is such a great and easy site to navigate. I had all my comments about each shot already posted there; I didn't see the sense in writing them out again.
