And software.

I knew I should have just let the new printer sit and installed it this weekend when it wasn't hot and I wasn't tired. But, no. I had to do it tonight.

And, would it install? No. The computer wouldn't recognize it. USB problem.

No amount of futzing would help. I had to rollback the operating system. Finally, I gave up. This weekend will be fine. I rolled back one more time and now the fucking web cams won't work. One went and then the other one. USB problem.

I hate hardware.

I have now unplugged the webcams and the printer and given them all a time out. They can just think about what they have done. I'll get back to them this weekend.

And I hate the hot. I just hate it.

I am so not happy.

Hope they learn a lesson by then.

The hot is bad, the hardware -- I'm hoping -- mercurial.
I just bought a roomba. I'm hoping karma doesn't get me. :-)

I was in the middle of replacing our curtains with blinds, and
we have enough moola in the household account. After being such
a crab about your roomba, I went and read several million reviews,
and ordered one yesterday. It'll be interesting to see how it
deals with the many (10) small rooms.

Thanks for contributing to the anti-aging of Max. :-)

1) Hot sucks; humid-hot sucks absolutely.

2) The capacity of machines to heal themselves is one of the Great Dark Dirty Secrets™ of our culture -- we all know it happens, yet we're all ashamed to admit that we "believe in it".
I can't recall how many times the TV remote or my daughter's Discman has buggered up and/or gone dead, and "we fix it" by letting it sit for a couple days and then it's fine...
