Yo! Wind! Over here!!! I've got a tree for you!!

So this happened a little bit ago just up the street about 40 miles and they say the wind is coming down here.



Best case The Tree That I Hate would be roots up like these two.  I'd settle for all leaves gone. Probably neither will happen but a girl can hope.

My new tablet came and it's quite cool. It's an Asus Transformer. It's not new. I bought used. It's a 10" tablet with a keyboard dock - the tablet just snaps on and off depending on what yuou want to do. It does not have any kidn of data connection except wifi. It's heavy-ish for a tablet but fairly small and compact for a portable computer with keyboard and it's solid - no case needed at all.  An excellent deal for $190.  Set up was fun but sure didn't take long. Every time I get a new piece of tech, setup gets easier.  I don't miss the headaches that setup used to be but, honestly, if it gets any easier, it's going to be a little bit of a let down.

It is funny/strange to read my Kindle book on a 10" tablet. It's really too heavy for regular reading but in a pinch, it will do nicely.

Did you end up getting the wind? My da used to hate the wind and couldn't sleep whenever it was blowing. We used to get some Jim dandy storm in Vermont. I think he'd be happier here, though. Right now, I would settle for some cooler weather.

What sort of tree are you wishing ill will towards? We have this nasty pine-like thing out front and every time the tree folks come by, I try to convince them to cut it down. It is so messy and unattractive.
