susandennisMy haircut turned out to be a really great experience all around. The haircutter was nice and comfortable and got right with the program. "I don't like this, I don't know what to do with the curls, I'm big on low maintenance but I'd be happier with no maintenance. Otherwise, have at it. I just want to not look like the nursing home attendant is ignoring my hair cutting needs."
I was so delighted that I asked her to snap some pictures. She also volunteered to write down instructions for the next hair cutter. Win!
Then I stopped at Trader Joes and they had Harry & David pears!!! Yum.
One time, years and years ago, when I was working in Minnesota, I helped one of the developers prepare and practice for a presentation he had to make at a national conference. I did it as a favor and it was fun helping him figure out how to say what he wanted to say clearly and with fun visuals. We worked on it nights and weekends for a couple of weeks.
When he came back from the conference (where he was a huge hit, I might add) he presented me with Month #1 of what turned into 12 months of Harry & David delights. That was such a great year!!! I'm excited about the pears. I got some fun cheeses to go with.
All in all an excellent outing.
