I woke up this morning at 4:30 and never did really go back to sleep. At 5:30 I turned on the radio and at 6 I got up and made coffee and turned on the internet. Pretty soon it was already 8 am! Until I realized that I was looking at the one clock that needs manual resetting and it was only 7.

Weird morning so far and it's only 7:15. But, it's all fine.

It's a cold and windy and rainy morning out. And all that makes me feel so war and cozy and safe in my house. I love the feeling. Wearing layers of clothes and bundling under blankets. It's an especially wonderful feeling coming on the heels of the hot weather. The older I get the less tolerant I get of hot weather and the more appreciative I am of cozy.

Also Zoey the cat is a lot snugglier.

Today's project is going to be phone swapping. I am lucky enough to have two very good phones. I've been using the MotoX for about a year but I think it's time to switch back to the Nexus 5. I only keep one of their Sim cards paid up so I'll just move the paid one over to the Nexus 5.

The Moto X is smaller (which I like) and voice activated (I can turn it on and start playing music in the car without taking the phone out of my pocket).

BUT the Nexus 5 has wireless charging. (I have pseudo wireless charging added onto the Moto X but it doesn't work great.) And, it will soon be upgraded to the new android which will give it the save voice activation of the Moto X.

It may not stick if the bigger size gets to be a bother. But if that happens, I'll just swap back.

I will work all this exciting action around my 11 am swim. Gosh! What a big day!

My cat, Couscous, wants nothing to do with me on summer nights, preferring to spend them skulking on the sun porch. The last few nights, though, as it's cooled off here, he's been ridiculously cuddly. It's so hard to get out of bed when my alarm goes off and he's on my chest, purring.

I despise cold weather, especially since I live in a house without central heating, but when I woke up this weekend with the cat snuggling against me and the space heater on, it was so nice. I can definitely appreciate the cozy aspects of winter.

I'm not sure I'll ever be able to wrap my head around the notion of wireless charging. I could at least try to read up on it I suppose, but I'll probably still feel like there's some sort of conjuring involved.

Yeah, magnets...I never really questioned how those work (blind acceptance of a child maybe?) but that's a good point. I may be able to make this work after all.
