The pool was the usual Wednesday packed. The annoying woman who invaded my lane last Wednesday was not back - whew! Sara, the woman who's due date was last Friday was back and baby was still in utero.  One of the lifeguards is terrified she will go into labor at the morning swim. It's all quite the drama.

I ordered mayonaise on the internet. Yes I did. From Walmart.com. I love Heinz Mayonaise. I don't know where in the country they sell it but I know it's not in Seattle.  Amazon carries it but theirs is either in squeeze bottles which I don't want or has weird labels. But Wallmart has the real deal. It's not available for store pick up but the shipping cost was reasonable so I ordered 4 jars. They will be here on Tuesday.

A while back Grocery Outlet got in a batch and I went nuts. Yesterday I opened up the last remaining jar from those glory days. And that sent me to the internet. The relief I felt when I found a reasonable source was really silly.

I have a minor grocery list but nothing really critical. I have food in the fridge and freezer that needs to be eaten so I think I'll just pass on the trip and concentrate on cleaning out what is here. Chef Anita comes next week.

No reason for me to go out anywhere today. I might go out for a little stroll around the neighborhood. But, there's nothing I really need to go out for. It dawned on me today that it's been a decade - a full 10 years - since I had the kind of life where one leaves home for work every morning and comes home at night. Before I retired, I worked for a company who was happy to have me working from home.

So, counting school, that's 50 years of leaving the house in the morning and coming home at the end of the day... topped by 10 years of never leaving home.  Interesting.

Hi Susan ... my hubby and I also prefer Heinz Mayonnaise. We buy ours at Safeway in Port Angeles ... do you have a Safeway near you? Port Angeles Walmart store also sells it. :)

Apparently Renton and Bellevue Walmarts sell it in-store, according to their website. $2.98 for 30oz jar. :)

Oh and apologies for the "anonymous" comments ... I'm actually the one known as "Mira Bilis" on the Opentopia website but I don't use or have an LJ account. (Did you read my last comment on your cam page regarding the tree outside your condo?)

Mira. :)

My best friend had a baby on Monday. She said that everyone looked at her as if she was a ticking time bomb. And everyone seemed to fear she would go into labor there. As for your mayo, I have a similar relationship to Lipton's creamy chicken soup. I've tried other brands, and it's just terrible. I have only found it on Amazon. As you like to say, the future is awesome.
