I can remember one or two exceptions in the 13 years since - when it was the week after Labor Day that the switch got flipped. But, miraculously, one day it is Summer and the next day it is not.
It's wonderful.

Now I get less vacation and people want me to spend it with them here or visiting them in the UK. I like the spring and fall in NH, I love the smell of the woods.
