And the world gets better again... This is what I've been waiting for. Whew. I love long sleeves and socks and sleeping under a fluffy comforter. We're not close yet to any of that but I see hope in this forecast.

So is that it? Does it just turn off like a switch? Here it takes a long long time to see any change, until suddenly a weather system breaks through and we have rain and everyone crashes their cars because their memory is only good for three months so they've never seen a wet road in living memory.

Well, I am looking to leave this area, that's another vote for the north west. I'd also like to try the north east, I've never lived anywhere where it snows reliably. Most of the time in England snow lasts just long enough to get a couple of pictures, some winters there wasn't any. The east is attractive because it cuts the trip to the UK in half.

The UK would be a weekend trip, work one day and next day by lunch time I'd be in Newcastle.

I've actually spent quite a lot of time in New England, I used to be there about four weeks a year when I worked in the UK. Now I get less vacation and people want me to spend it with them here or visiting them in the UK. I like the spring and fall in NH, I love the smell of the woods.

...and we have been oppressively hot and humid 90s. Don't tease me please! ;-)

That does look lovely. I'm sort of ignoring our summer right now by hiding out anywhere that has air conditioning, but it would be lovely to be able to walk outside in long pants and socks.

We're down to the 80's this week, and people have been calling it a cold front. Hey, I'm thankful for my cold front thankyouverymuch.
