Homeward bound
Nov. 28th, 2014 09:01 amTurns out there is a bus that stops 2 blocks from here and goes right to the train station which is way handier this morning than going to the center of town to catch the Sky Train. In order to give myself way too much time, I'm going to leave the hotel in an hour.
The bus leaves at 11 and I should be home by 2.
This has been a lovey little trip. It's interesting to find out how poorly I really do operate outside of my norm. Inside my norm, thinking isn't required to get everyday tasks done and stay on top of life enough to interact with the few people I do. Yesterday, at lunch, the nice waitress asked me where I was staying and I could not come up with a single clue. Not the street, not the hotel, not even the hotel chain... I was tired and I was breathless and, apparently, also brainless. I have absolutely lost my sharp when plucked out of my normal. I'm not upset about it at all, just interested and glad to know it. Forewarned is forearmed.
The bus lands me, in Seattle, just outside Uwajimaya where I may well dip in and pick up some dinner to go. Then it's about a 4 block walk home.
They are talking snow in Seattle tomorrow. I'll believe it when I see it and be delighted if it happens.

Date: 2014-11-28 05:09 pm (UTC)The forecast for the Olympic Peninsula said the temperatures were going to plummet over the weekend. A good frost would be nice but I doubt there'll be any snow. Like you, I'll believe it when it happens. :)
Mira.
