susandennisA guy who lives upstairs posted a photo with a 'free chair, you haul' on a neighborhood bulletin board and it looked just like a chair I almost bought and didn't and always kind of wished I did!
It's the purple one. When I bought the green one and the purple couch, I almost bought that other chair. So weird that the guy upstairs had 2 and needed only one. Zoey thinks she scored big.
The chair guy said he had a bad back and couldn't help in transport. So I went down to see if the hand truck was available and ran into The Building Manager I Do Not Like who had locked up all the dollys/hand trucks. So while he was unlocking, he said 'let me know if you need any help' and I allowed as how, I would love his help so he came up with me and moved the chair to my living room. It was not part of his job and he was very gracious about it. I hate when annoying people do nice things. But, I am glad to have the chair.
One of the million HGTV Bingo phrases is Pop Of Color. I think I've nailed it.
Added later: The green chair, while exceedingly cool looking and an outstanding place for the bears, is an incredibly uncomfortable place for humans to sit. The new chair, on the other hand, is quite comfy.

I like it. I like purple things in general. I also think it's a good thing the bears are in the green chair -- I suspect that scarlet guy would be a bit jarring in the purple one.
