Four more hours...
Dec. 10th, 2014 08:38 amBy noon today I should be home and my house will be my own again. I am not good a sharing.
The house cleaner is due today. Usually she gets here about 9:30ish. It will be lovely to have everything clean again. While she's here, I think I'll take the two cable cards back to Comcast and see if I can get a final bill out of them.
Yesterday was about as stressful as I ever like to get. Anita's visit was a little more stressful than usual. Not horrible, just little weirdish things. And then the installer from hell who not only was here long after he needed to be but who was excruciatingly annoying.
Then after everyone left, I spent another 2ish hours fixing the second TV/cable/TiVo and then working on settings. By the time I went to bed, I felt like I'd been pounded like the cutlets that Anita pounded yesterday.
My life is so calm and quiet and free of any responsibilities or obligations, that a day of stuff is amusingly jarring.
When I get back from Comcast, the house will be clean and my stress free life will be back. Ahhhhhh
One of the benefits of the new cable company is better/easier access to HBO Go except to get there I have to register and so far the registration machine doesn't know my account number. If it doesn't work by tomorrow, I'll call but not today.
My swim this morning was great. On Mondays and Wednesdays, a triathlon group rents out the pool from 5-6:30 am. This morning they did 4000 yards and most were finished about 6:15. That's more than twice my distance in almost half the time. Show offs.

Date: 2014-12-10 04:42 pm (UTC)Are you retired? Is a life of knitting and swimming and maybe a condo association meeting what you have retired to do?
I'm 50 and still in the middle of the struggle. Your day looks like an unimaginable thing to me right now.

Date: 2014-12-10 04:50 pm (UTC)And, speaking of breath, that also kind of plays a part. I have half the lung capacity for someone my age and size. This prevents me from doing a lot. I can't walk long or far. If I had good lungs, I do think I'd do more but I'm grateful that I don't have to be tethered to oxygen and I can still swim.
I do still miss, a little, the feeling of being productive and useful that working brings but I miss it less and less...

Date: 2014-12-10 07:50 pm (UTC)I also have someone who comes every two weeks to clean, and for the most part I am out while she is here, I just find it easier.
I'm glad you had a good swim today:)
