Remember biorhythms? Mine is clearly on an up arch.

I stopped into the furniture shop on the way home. The table was in a box - needs assembly - and way too big and heavy for me to even try and do anything with it. The store guy, who was really really nice said "I got a guy who will deliver it and set it up for you but it will cost $50." I said ok but that I hated waiting one more minute. He laughed and said "Let's call him, maybe he do now."

24 minutes from that sentence, the table and the guy to assemble it were in my living room. I am not kidding. I told him we could use the old one to assemble the new one on cause I was going to give or throw it away. He said "I'll take it if you don't want it. I'll take it right now."

I'm thinking that this is getting scary. Everything is working out way to perfectly. But, then he saved me. He started talking about the war in Iraq and the stupid people in New Orleans and how Seattle has changed and "what's this place worth, anyway, a million or more?" He would not fucking shut up.

Plus I discovered that he was putting it together wrong which I noticed from the instructions so he had to do it again. And I think I kind of hurt my tennis elbow again maybe a little. But, he took the boxes with him when he finally did leave and I had decided that I would pay him $60 if he did a good job but he was such a jerk and he got a free table so he got his $50 and I got rid of him.

The new table is very pretty. It does not come up as easily as the other one or as high so this means I'm going to have to sit in Betty's chair when I eat because the purple sofa is too high but it will all work out. It just looks so much better than the other one.

Ahhhhhh nice. Very nice.

So it is a bi-level coffee/tv-tray table.

Congrats, just like you wanted many many months ago but thought you couldn't afford.

I love putting those things together.
One thing service people should never ever do is voice their opinion. It usually doesn't go down very well.
