susandennisSo about noon, my internet went out. I called and then I got an email saying there was an outage (er, yep) and they were on it. At 2, I sent an email asking for an update and they said someone would be here in 20 minutes to fix. It is now 5:30 and there is no fix and I am a little annoyed.
I'd be a lot annoyed but 1. It does not matter. I still have TiVo stuff to watch. Yeah, I was going to watch Amazon and Netflix but I don't have to. 2. I have my phone which I can tether to the laptop. And, I have a tablet with a small data plan that I can tether the laptop to and when it eats up the data (I'm about half way there now) I have an old Chrome book with a data plan. Both the tablet and the Chromebook have the T-Mobile Free Data for Life - 200 MB a month for free. So nice, especially today.
So I'm not entirely cut off from the world. The internets appear to suggest that this kind of severe outage is rare for Condointernet. I sure hope so. I'd hate to go back to Comcast at this point.
And, I don't have early morning swim tomorrow. The pool doesn't even open until 9 so I'm not dependent on my internet radio alarm. I might be able to get a phone signal in the bedroom and so can use it for an alarm. If not, so I sleep until 6:30 or 7. No Big Deal.
Still, I hate no internet. If I want to lower my shades, I'll have to dig out that remote. It's like living on the street!! Hilariously, I keep being surprised that the electricity is still on. This is why I don't camp. This and insects and snakes.
