I figured out last night that I could replace the TiVo in the bedroom with a TiVo mini and save $70 a year by not renting the cable card. The TiVo mini is a one time cost of $150. I could sell the TiVo for about $300-400 (it has 4 tuners and a lifetime subscription to the service) OR give it to my brother. There might be a glitch I'm not considering but I ordered a Mini to see. I can return it with free return shipping if it doesn't work.
It would simplify my TV situation and still give me full access if I'm ever stuck in bed for any amount of time and/or decided over the toe watching is what I want.

I spent a lot of time last night thinking about that movie - Cake. A lot to chew on there.
---
After swimming today, I think I'm going to head up to Fremont to try one of two new to me brunch places that have recently turned up on my radar.
That's really all that's on the agenda today. So far.

Date: 2015-01-25 11:28 pm (UTC)I only have the one tv in the house, so I haven't any reason at this point to play with MoCA - but it seems pretty useful, considering homebuilders still aren't wiring up rooms with cat5 - just cable!
