Fun news at the pool this morning. One of my favorite lifeguards is going to do security at Safeco Field this Summer for the Mariners. This is fun on many levels. The first one is that the chances of her drawing pool schedules when I swim greatly increase PLUS I'll get all kinds of inside poop about the Mariners all Summer long!

I actually looked at getting a job there for the Summer myself but so many of the jobs require standing and walking around - not in my lungs' wheelhouse. Plus walking down there to the stadium would not leave me enough breath to actually do anything so I just abandoned the idea.

It would be so cool if the pulmonology guy has a silver bullet for me that would fix it enough for me to do something like that. I'm not counting on it but in the back of my mind is a little teensy hope.

My swim, also, was very good. There were very few people in the pool today. So few that it was kind of weird but nice to be free of divas.

Today, I think, is laundry day. It's either that or break out the backup dirty clothes hamper which seems kind of silly. I think we're at about 3 loads now. I sure got the time. So why the heck not?

Yesterday evening was another bad evening. I finally gave up and just went to bed. But, much to my surprise, I woke up this morning so not dead and not only that... I feel great. Weird. But, as long as a night's sleep cures the problem, I can deal.

Pulmonology Good Wishes

Hi, Susan - Just wanted to drop a line to let you know I am thinking of you and your upcoming pulmonologist visit and I hope hope hope that you get some insight from the doctor and, if nothing else, some reassurance that you're doing this "old" thing well. From my end, I think you're doing brilliantly!

Best,

Homely

you can ask the pulmonologist if he has occupational ideas that won't bore you to tears. he may have some strategies that can keep you on your feet longer than you'd expect ...
