The shelf guy's compressor and tools are gone. The shelves look pretty darned finished. There are some spots that probably could use a little more paint but there is a bucket of left over paint. There is no note from anyone and no email from Sheri. Last I heard he wasn't even going to be here today.

Is it possible this could all be actually over?? That I get my house back? The cats will be so thrilled. Someone shit on the terrace today. I can't tell who but since neither of them has ever even come close to not using the litter box for that little activity, I have to believe that something the shelf guy was doing prevented them from getting to the litter box.

I'll be sooooooooo glad to get my keys back.

There is a big Doh! in Roomba news. Particularly in the living room it bangs into everything. Bang, bang, bang. It makes a fair amount of noise and it has knocked stuff off the mantle. I was looking through some files in the Roomba user group at Yahoo and found a picture where someone had made a foam bumper.

It's really nothing more than a strip of foam glued on. Remember my organization this weekend? Went right to the drawer of tape and odd bits and found a roll of sticky backed foam. Not a single clue why I have it but I am so glad I kept it! I dressed up Roomba and we are doing the vacuuming in the living room very quietly. It's lovely!

My latest favorite 'handy material' (up there with duct tape) is hot water heater insulating foam. Comes in 8' sections for a little over a buck, and comes in multiple widths too!

kind of a random question, but do you change your locks when this is all done?

You know, I might if I lived in a single family home somewhere with regular locks, but not here. You have to have a non-copyable key to get into the building and then another key to get into my unit. It's pretty safe plus I can't see the shelf guy or Sheri trying anything.

Oh my, how is that going to work?! But it is still a bit premature. Sheri needs to come fill the shelves and give me my keys back and then we shall declare victory and break out the camera for detailed shots.
