Exactly not what I said...
Mar. 13th, 2015 01:15 pmI did not go to the Mariners store. I did not go to the new food truck. I did not do the laundry although, that is still on the todo list.
I went to West Seattle and bought yarn. I have not made a sweater in about a hundred years. This is because 1. I don't really like wearing hand made sweaters. 2. It is FAR cheaper and faster to buy good sweaters in a store. 3. Who has time? I have bears to knit.
But, I have now found a pattern that I have never seen in a store and one that I want enough to knit.

I will knit this sweater and wear it every single day next Winter. It will be my uniform. So I wanted the softest yarn on the face of the earth. So I went to the yarn store. And bought this yarn:

It is mostly alpaca. Thank you, alpacas. It cost an arm and a leg. I could have saved about 20% buying the exact same yarn online BUT I would never have known it had the exact feel I wanted online. So I figure I paid 20% surcharge for a feel up (and for comparison and for the clerk's very good assistance.
When I got to the shop, I first did my 20 minute walk. I walked up a hill to a CVS. It was a half mile and a very tough walk. Then I walked back to the shop and stood around looking and feeling for a long time and by the time I got home, I had what I call No Breath Sickness. I just felt ugh.
I have no rested a bit and feel a little better but still, I can tell, I have done more than sit on my ass today.
My Zappos order arrived. I may send all 3 bags back. I'm conjuring on it now.
Oh and they have opened a new branch of my hair cutter in West Seattle which is actually a little more handy for me than the one I have been going to. I see on their website that they opened it last week! I may just give them a whirl - I'm probably going to have to hair cut next week.
Time for the baseball game.
