Yesterday's brush with the parking police has left it's mark. Most of the time, I get to the pool just before it opens so there are lots of easy parking spaces available. Easy and not reserved for disabled parking.

On Monday and Wednesday mornings, the story is very different. There is a private program of about 25-30 swimmers from 5-6:30 am. So when I get there, about 6:15, there is usually not a legal parking place in sight now that I've learned where I am parking is not legal.

But, there is a little lot that no one ever uses and is specifically available for pool peops. The problem is that it is a block away, up a hill.

Getting to the pool is downhill. But getting back to the car is a different tale.

I've decided to take it on as a challenge. I have time. No need to hurry. I'll take it slow and walk up the incline after my swim. It won't be easy but I think it's worth trying. In fact, I think I'm going to do it on Tuesdays and Thursdays, too as long as it's not too hot out.

Starting today. It's worth a try!

I like your thinking. A great way to get a small amount of walking in on the days you're taking "off", and while it's a short amount, it's a type that will, presumably, continue the soul of what your pulmonary caregiver is looking for you to do, even in the shorter dose.

I've definitely been forced to park in a few handicap spots since the snow made things impossible here. There was so much snow, the spots were not at all accessibLe anymore.

I love how for you things that would get in other people's way, you see it as a challenge and an occasion to do something different. I hope someday I do that, too!
