Getting from the pool, up the hill to the car, is doable. I was very glad to have to stop at the red light at the corner but I made it.  I think I'm going to try and park there every day. I stripped down the stuff in my swim bag to absolute minimum so it won't be any heavier than has to be.

It's a great all around solution.

And then, totally forgetting my new lactose intolerance theory, I cashed in on the Ben & Jerry's ice cream sale at Safeway.

DOH! I wonder what part of that ice cream I forgot had milk in it??? Guess I'll be running a more rigorous test than intended.

And... I forgot catfood. crap.

As an aside, if you are lactose intolerant, Breyer's makes a lactose-free ice cream. Limited flavors - my store only has vanilla, I think there's one or two others - though. So lactaid pills are the way to go if you want ice cream variety. :) (Well, or soy ice cream. I can't quite get used to it, though, even though it's fairly close.)

I did that one time... I was out camping with friends and was off dairy, totally forgetting that 'milk chocolate' has, you know, milk in it.

Well if you are going to do a lactose intolerance test, I am pretty sure that doing it with ice cream is the preferred method! (I am thinking I might just be developing this problem, too) I will follow your development with interest.
