Ice cream enjoyed last night did not lead to any digest issues. I'm about to put this whole lactose intolerance thing to bed.

I love your solutions to the question...must eat ice cream to be sure.

You know, some people only seem to react negatively to dairy products when they have too much of it. Maybe the big glass of milk was just too much for your system to handle at that moment.

Lactose intolerance actually does respond to dose - so you might be able to deal with lactose until you get a whole heaping dose of it in a day.

I'm so glad you're not finding problems with ice cream!

Also, lactose load varies with dairy type. Hard cheese typically doesn't have a lot of lactose per volume. Milk and ice cream do, though.
