I slept like a rock last night. My tracker says I slept pretty good but not rocklike. I'm going with me. My tracker is pretty but not the brightest bulb in the drawer. (Practicing for max number of mixed metaphors in fewest words.)

I'm a little congested this morning, in my head (thankfully, not my lungs). I think I did not catch cold-lite, I think I just got a very hint of one. I'll totally take it over the real thing any day.

I am reading The Husband's Secret by Liane Moriaty. I'm actually listening to it. It's set in Australia and the reader's accent reflects that. It really just adds interest. The story is fascinating. I'm at that point now where I'm dying to know what happens so I would be hurrying to finish BUT I don't want it to end so I'm trying to pace myself. This is my indication of a great read.

It's my first book by Moriaty but her sixth. That's the good news, the bad news is that apparently, this one is a departure from her normal. I'll try one of the others and see... She reminds me a bit of another one of my favorite authors, Jo Moyes. I have not read all of her books yet either. Nice to have treats awaitin'!

Today is swimming at 11. And that's about it for scheduling. The rest of the day will be a Capella. But, it will, for sure start with breakfast.

I am in such a reading slump. Started so many books only to put them down. I finally went back to a series I got from a fellow collie rescue member. She found this whole series written by a woman in Michigan, who comes across murders by accident. She has a collie and so do some of her neighbors. They are so corny I can't read them all in a row. But I need to pass them on and the story lines are interesting. She's a high school English teacher, too, and everybody seems to wear denim jumpers/skirts.

Moriarty is one of my favorite authors, and that is one of my favorite books by her. I actually liked her newest book better though, "Big little lies". The other one I liked a lot by her was "what Alice forgot".  I think I read maybe two or three others by her, and I didn't like them very much. They were okay, but not as good as her most recent three books.

Also, did I recommend "maude" by Donna Mabry to you? That was the best book of the year and I think you can get it free on the Kindle.
