routine miscellaney
Sep. 16th, 2005 08:40 amThe newspaper this morning tells me that there are three football events at the stadium that is my front yard this weekend. Tonight, tomorrow evening and Sunday afternoon. Tonight's is a high school game which generally is not a factor. Tomorrow is Washington State University and Sunday is Seahawks. Both of them mean that any car errands I might want to do need to be carefully timed. It's not a huge deal. There is plenty of time around the events to go do whatever it is. And anyway I wouldn't trade the drama and fun and noise and general mayhem that accompany these events. It's like having a giant party in your front yard that you don't have to prepare for or clean up after and if you get tired of it, just shut the door for a bit. I can handle that.
But, what's worse is that apparently in my dusting, I unbalanced the thing and now it clicks and makes other really annoying noises when it does run. This really pisses me off because 1. I have no clue how to fix it and 2. I am afraid to even try because if I get back up on that ladder again without someone or something to hold onto and fall and break something critical, I will deserve the crown for The Supidest Person In The World.
So... I haven't figured out what to do yet. This is one case where online friends are not quite as handy as in person one.
Edit: I just remembered that my neighbors who are out of town (so can't help) have a taller ladder. I can go get that and then have ladder to hold onto when I'm up futzing. And I'm sure it just needs a jiggling.
