I was just responding to a comment about my living room and realized that it was 10 years ago when I redid it. This time 10 years ago, I was in the middle of remodel hell. I do remember the designer trying to talk me out of my color choices saying I'd get tired of these colors. Not yet!

Here's the web page I wrote while it was going on... kind of a chronology.

And here's the before and after... The after is now really the before. I should take new pictures. The place is much nicer now than it was then. And even more colorful.

That also means that it was 10 years ago this Summer that I started knitting teddy bears. I can remember noodling out the pattern sitting on boxes in the middle of the painters drop cloths. Over those 10 years I have probably knit 1,500 bears! YIKES!!

That shade of green you used has become quite trendy. You were very ahead of the times!

I really like the After, and I admire your courage in choosing that bright green. I especially like the shallow shelves all along that rather long hallway; it's a good use of the space and I'm sure it provides lots of visual interest. But what is that shiny curtain used for, in the middle of the apartment?

In the second and the fifth picture - next to the door with the hat on it - there seems to be a floor length curtain hanging from the ceiling. Is that the one that separates the spare room from the entry way? Of course I do not mean the shower curtain; I think I would recognize a shower curtain, being as it is, so close to the shower.

I love your furniture and wish I could do my entire house in that style and those colors. I'd never want to leave my living room if it looked like that! Right now my living room is dark, with sage green furniture, sage drapes, and dark green and beige rug...BORING. There are two windows that don't let in much light because of the porch roof over them. I think I hate it.

In the past I've done Google searches trying to find a similar style and color furniture to yours, but have never found any as nice as yours.

When you started knitting the bears was it with donating them in mind, or did that happen after?
