So last Sunday [livejournal.com profile] ljtourist told me about a great bagel place not far from my LA Fitness pool. Good east coast bagels are pretty rare around these parts so I was really interested. He said they were not exactly as good as but as close as we are likely to get in Seattle.

On Tuesday, I went right there after my swim and... turns out... he was 100% right! YEAH. They were pretty excellent. Unsliced and huge as well.

Today, the West Seattle blog reports that that very bagel place is shutting its doors for good tomorrow.

Le Sigh.

I like the bagels they have at WinCo. Next time I'm there, I'll see if the bins say where they're from.

I always loved Seattle Bagel Bakery at 7th and Olive. Looks like that location's long gone, but I see they're now in the market by the Daily Dozen.

Yeah, I tend to inadvertently kill places, too. Frustrating.

I hate it when stuff like that happens.

There's a bakery called Grateful Bread that has good bagels. They've been there a while. (I hope they're still there! I can't regularly eat bread any more so I haven't looked.)
