susandennisLast night I watched three more new shows. I did not delete the season passes for any of them but none were outstanding.
Kitchen Confidential was ok. The only character I thought had potential (the girlfriend) got written out at the end. I'll probably give it one more shot.
Out of Practice is so bad that its badness alone is worth another look. President Bartlett's wife is now a surgeon/mother, The Fonz is the gastrointologist/dad. Some guys I never saw before are the plastic surgeon and non-doctor therapist sons and an actress who looks familiar but I can't place her is the emergency room doctor/lesbian/doctor. The premise is flawed. The plot of the first show is stupid, oh and the dialog is lame. I will give it one more shot but it's currently top on my list of losers and will be the first to go.
How I Met Your Mother is another one with a flawed premise but it had some really good bits and I actually laughed out loud a couple of times. And Doogie Houser notes mid-way through "I am so writing about this in my blog."
I spent some time last night with my finances to get a better handle on exactly what my hourly rate needs to be and how many hours of 'part time' I can get by with. Once you take the redecoration out of my monthly cash flow, it's really pretty reasonable. I spent $51,222 (give or take depending on how strict you are about what expenditures were actually redesign and what were regular). That accountant I went to last year implied that I could use a bunch if not all of that for a home improvement deduction. That would be nice.
