Hotter than the baby Jesus
Jun. 24th, 2015 12:07 pmThat's what the Brit who handed me my lunch said... "Mind you, love... this is hotter than the baby Jesus". I couldn't place his accent... kind of the Iowa version of a British accent. I've been wanting to try his truck for a while.
The sun was out but there was still plenty of shade. Unlike the Southeast where I grew up, here, shade = many degrees cooler. I walked shade to shade until I got to the park where the truck was. The line wasn't too long and the wait was pleasant and then I got the baby Jesus warning and came on back home. Nice outing.
But, the food was a major disappointment. Oh well, at least now I know.
