Cool milestone!

Just now, I closed the door to the terrace because it was getting chilly in here!!!  I've got on short sleeves and no shoes so there were other ameliorative efforts I could have taken but still... I love that I got to make even one.

Looking ahead, there is one full sun day in the 10 day forecast and it is Friday... high predicted to be 75. I think that tomorrow I will put the air conditioner away for the summer. Now, that's the big milestone.

Last year it was in full blast use until the last week in September. Sooo grateful for this year.

This summer felt somewhat brutal to me, mainly because until last week, I had a car w/o air conditioning, a sun/heat allergy, and would have to drive to work during the hottest and brightest part of the day. Almost every single day when I got to work, coworkers asked "Omg, are you okay?" because of how red/purple/horrendous I looked after it. I'm still thankful that I even had a car, as I was a pedestrian for over 10 years, which made for some really long stretches of direct sun exposure.
