Happy Labor Day!

Since I retired, holidays have just annoyed me. Everything gets put on hold for no good reason and stuff closes. I realize now that most that was because I could not swim. The city pools close for a dozen holidays a year. LA Fitness keeps my pool open every single day all year long. They generally close about 3 or 4 hours early on holidays but they open at the same time as usual. Plus, I don't have to schedule my own swim to avoid traffic.

Just nice. And it colors my view of holidays with a much nicer hue.

After I finish this entry, I'll head out to the pool to enjoy this little perk. The baseball game is at 3 this afternoon. And, those are the pillars of my day. I'll be filling in with knitting and sewing. Just a nice day.

The evening news has scared me from putting the air conditioner away today. They are threatening 80 degrees later this week. I think I'll hold off until that threat is gone.

Today, however, promises to be nice.

I was looking at the forecast, too, and shaking my fist.. but I finally have a car with air conditioning that works, so I don't mind it as much, since I have my a/c unit in my bedroom window and will spend a very short amount of time outside during the warmer times.
