I'm having coffee and listening to NPR. The national news is that the Pope's visit is wrecking havoc with traffic. The local news is that the President of China's visit is wrecking havoc with traffic.
They are letting schools out early today to help with local traffic issues. If I were a school kid, that would make me very fond of that China president.
Meanwhile, I'm going to, once again, take advantage of the situation and go swim early.
I think I have finger gout again. My doctor laughs at my diagnosis but I laugh at his laughing. The last joint in my right hand index finger is just sore as shit. It's a little swollen and a little reddish and warm. Just like my toe gets. And my gout pills make it better and it will heal in a few days and be totally gone and fine. But meanwhile, OWWWWWWWW.
If I keep icing it regularly, it does not interfere much with my sewing or knitting. I finished the latest pocket book last night. It may be too big. But, maybe not.
Next up, cowl/cuffs for my fleece shirt. Then fleece liners for my crocs. The projects are stacking up!

Date: 2015-09-23 07:09 pm (UTC)There will be no traffic allowed anywhere inside the city, no street parking, nothing. They are building a fence around Philadelphia to keep cars out. People will easily have to walk anywhere from 1-6 miles if they want to participate in any of the Pope-tivities going on.
Even if I have to work from home, I'm happy to sit around in my pj's on my computer ;-)
