Exactly 22 minutes after I hit send on my rant email via the clinic's website, I got this:

Hello Susan,

It’s obvious who needs to apologize here, and it’s us, not you. I’m sorry you had such a bad experience at the flu clinic today. The service was clearly a letdown and not at all what we strive for. Thank you for sharing it with us, however. It’s important for us to know when we make mistakes so we can correct them. I’ll submit this to our Quality Department that tracks all patient complaints and shares them with the appropriate administrators, physicians, and staff. I also send directly to the flu clinic managers.

Again, my apologies for coming in and having to walk out upset and without your flu shot. Please let me know if there’s anything else I can do for you at this time.
