Satisfaction

So I patched together the fabric I botched cut and made Suit #2. I definitely need to build in an inch vertically so this one is not quite as comfortable. Probably I won't wear it much after I test it tomorrow.  This one took from cut out to finish, 3.5 hours. Only the front is lined which I do think is much better. I built the inch into the pattern and now feel very confident in both my pattern and in all the elastic measurements.



This is oh so amazingly satisfying.  I cannot wait to get my new fabric. It's coming from two different places and the first one arrives Thursday!!

This reminds me of the nifty article I read the other day (can't recall where I found it) about how flour companies started printing the fabric flour sacks in bright patterns once they realized people during the Depression were turning the empty sacks into clothing.

I remember those pretty flour sacks!! My grandma made my doll clothes out of them! I'd forgotten about that. Cool.
