susandennisThe lane line at the pool is still out. So there is one regular sized lane and one double wide. It was fun for one day. Now it is treacherous. Fast swimmers are generally unaware swimmers and generally male. One of these next to you in a double wide lane means WATCH OUT cause he's not going to. After a couple of near misses he finally hit my arm. The next lap, my hand hit his but it was nails first on my part. I was sorry I didn't have them sharpened to a point. Get over, you lane hog!! On the up side, these guys generally don't swim long. 20 mins max.
But, geesh I hope they get that damn line fixed soon.
Today is the Chilly Hilly bike run. Hoards and hives of latexed clad bikers gather in this neighborhood in giant packs. They load onto the ferry and proceed over to Bainbridge island. They fill up the first 3 or 4 or 5 ferry runs of the day and prior to boarding they fill up my neighborhood. I noticed this morning that a bar down the street had an outdoor tented pre-race gathering that was very popular. The groups that left here before 10 am (most of them) got off to a soggy start. It was raining pretty steadily until about then. They did not look like they cared one bit.
Hunter, the whacko weirdo baker next door, brought me cookies last night. He handed me a plate with 3 in tin foil separated from the rest. He allowed as how the 3 were baked with marijuana (high test), but the rest were 'regular'. I really am not that interested in edibles and I really wish he wouldn't waste his expensive ingredient on me but I've told him that and he doesn't listen. SO, I carefully wrapped them up and labeled them and put them in the freezer.
The others were beautiful and delicious. Chocolate with half dipped in white icing and sprinkled with peppermint candy. Just perfection. And there were 6 of them. Now there are 5. One a day, that's the rule.
No big doings schedule here today. I treated myself to Amazon delivered dinner last night - Mongolian beef. The minimum order is $20 so I get two orders and freeze in single servings. 2 orders means 5 dinners for me. I probably will have it again tonight. So easy. So yum.
