Holy crap!! My Ameritrade stocks truly tanked today... I have shares in:

Federated Stores (Macy's)
Krispy Kreme
TiVo
Amazon
EBay
Hormel
Sirius
Staples
Target
Costco
Martha Stewart
Netflix

(My Google stock is in a different account and represents some serious money.  My Ameritrade stock is just a handful of shares each - fortunately.)

Of that list the ONLY one that didn't lose money today was Netflix!  Martha lost the most, percentage wise, followed by Krispy Kreme (which is kind of surprising because Krispy Kreme has already lost about as much as it can.  Ya gotta admire its consistency!).

Stephen suggested I bug out early - he actually said the words "are you still here??" with a giant smile on his face. So I bugged out early.  Scored two tubes of my new Crest and came on home.

My new office will be right here but the computer will be different.  A laptop.  Good thing because squinting to see this screen would be a problem all day.  My new benefits cover vision but don't kick in until December.  Come December I think we're off to see the vision folks.

I updated my Windows Media Player.  What a mess that is.  I only use it to listen to the occasional MP3 and NPR.  But, I got it set up.  It's been a long time since I've had a desk situation where I could listen to NPR all day without headphones.  Nice.  And there is this great website - www.publicradiofan.com where I can find streaming of the various shows at some station somewhere nearly any time I want to hear it.  I've been using the website on my Treo for a long time but it's really cool on the big computer.

I finally got a check I have been waiting for.  One more and I can close that door.  Yahoo.

I need to clean up around here.  This place is a mess of stuff.  I think I'll give that a little go right this minute.

Doh! Yes. Thank you. I wish I had a good and clever excuse for screwing that up but, sadly, I don't. It is a great site, tho. Good google!
