My ADD is back a little this morning but I think I've figured out the problem.  My anchor - 8 hour job to go to every day - has been cut off and I'm just bobbing around trying to get a grip.  I don't have to do the laundry this weekend. I can do it Monday morning if I want.  There is no more weekend stuff and evening stuff it's all mushed in with everyday stuff.

So.... I need to get all the stuff organized.  So now I have lists.  I have a stack of IBM cards - descendants of punch cards.  Some are even printed with the IBM logo and THINGS TO DO at the top.  (Talk about stealing office supplies!!)

And now I have one for House, one for Work, one for Shopping and one for Other.  This is really just to get me started until I can handle this without a net.  I'll get it.  It just takes some getting used to.

Mom is going to a party tonight.  When they opened up the new wing at the 'home', a lot more people moved in from the apartment and cottages. Mom knew most of these folks before they even moved in - from when she lived in the apartments. One of the newbies - Mr. Emmons - is having a party tonight.  It's a bring your own.  He's reserved the lounge and promises hors d'oeuvres  but told everyone to bring their own booze.  "He only invited the fun people."  She's all jazzed about it.

She said, of course, that she didn't have a thing to wear.  I asked her if anyone going had good enough eyesight to make that an issue... she pretended to be offended but then countered with at least there would be no drunk driving since no one in the group has a car any more!

Back when Mom was still in her apartment, Mr. Emmons asked me if I could look at his computer and help him fix something.  I do not remember what the issue was but it was a no brainer to fix and he was so grateful.  His wife was still alive at the time and as I was getting ready to go to the airport at the end of the trip, the two of them came up to Mom's with a box, complete with handle for easy airport transport, of a selection of wonderful homemade cookies - I mean there were about 4 different types, all fresh and heavenly.

My clock fetish - having to have a clock in every view - three in the living room, two in the kitchen, three in the bedroom, one in the fish room... really kind of loses it's fun today...  Most reset only forward so you gotta go around the day to get them right.  Fortunately, one is set by magic.  I'll have to do the rest by hand.  It's on the list.

Regarding your clock fetish, do you take the average, median, or do your clocks track the time well? My car clock loses two minutes a month. Those minutes are "found" by my alarm clock and microwave, though the microwave also likes to randomly set the time to 88:88, if you know what I mean.

I have numerous clocks in every room and I hate changing them all. We even have a couple of antique ones. It really is a pain. That was one big plus for living in Arizona.

And never letting them go. I mean, jeezus girl, those are probably collectors items by now. What logo do they have?

And of course your mother was invited. :-)

With the kind of job I have, the everyday stuff gets mushed all arouond the day too. It's hard to organize that kind of thing.

I love wrist watches. I heaved a heavy sigh this morning when I realized it was time to go through all of them and reset them. Some of them even have the date.
