The rest of the day

susandennisThe housecleaner did show up and not really late (and as long as she's done by 11, I don't really count it late). She nearly always brings her daughter to help but today she brought another daughter and this one is really tall so a lot of tops of things got dusted!
About mid day, I was coughing and sneezing and itchy all over. In desperation, I took an allergy pill. About 3 hours later, I was so sleepy I couldn't function so I took a nap. Mid-doll! I slept for an hour. I hate naps. I hate how I feel when I wake up and I resent the time it took. But, I'm not coughing, sneezing or even very itchy. So it's a trade off.
Losing an hour plus still not being adjusted to daylight savings time caused tonight to sneak up on me. About mid afternoon I looked and it was already 5:30! Geesh. I didn't even finish the pre-nap doll.
I did kill some time trying to noodle out Google Photo links. I used to be able to just plop a URL into LJ and have the photo - living in Google Photo - appear here. And then it broke and now, it turns out, it is officially broken. Google no longer supports this. You can link to their photos, just not embed them. Buggers. I just hope Flickr lives on a long time.
I still upload all photos to Google because I use them then for Google Plus and backup. So I keep a group of doll pix there. And one on Flickr.

- Go to photostream
- Click on the photo
- On the actual photo's page, I click on the Download button and get a list of sizes.
- I highlight the size I want and right mouse click and select "copy link address" and that gives me something like this:

- I delete the _d part so that the result is

(this last step may not be a necessity but I do it anyway)
That last URL is what I use in LJ.
Now that I type it all out, it sure seems like way more of a PIA than it actually is. And at least it works!
