dolls, decisions and thursday

I'm coming to the end of another great book. I went to sleep early last night so I'd still have some to listen to tonight but there are only 39 minutes left so tonight will be the end :(. It's Try Not to Breathe by Holly Seddon.

I decided not to go back to the manicurist's. I think I'm going to give my nails a rest and then decide what to do (find another or do it myself or go naked).



First, though, I made some dolls.

That hair was a very happy accident. I was shooting for another style and cut too far. Turned out fine, though!

How much time does it now take you to make one of these dolls?

About an hour or hour and a half. I have everything needed organized in one place so that cuts down on a lot of time wasting.

Why do you have aluminum foil on your fingers?

the polish I had on was a gel polish which can only be removed by soaking nails in acetone for 10-20 minutes. the preferred method is to soak a cotton ball in acetone and secure it to the nail by wrapping the finger tips with foil.

gel polish is great. it looks amazing. a manicure can last 3 weeks instead of 5 days but getting it off your nails is a bitch.
