susandennisOk, I actually have done stuff and crossed stuff off my lists!
The planters on the terrace had this lacy kind of something draping down each side and I never did like it. Plus, half of it was dying and Jake could reach it enough to much and rip. And, it shed so the carpet was a mix of lacy droppings and geranium petals. So I got some nice green stuff at Home Depot and ripped out the lacy stuff and the geraniums which had grown leggier than most super models and something else that was dying and replaced it all with big leafed green stuff.
Then I got out the vacuum and cleaned up all the droppings and now I have a lovely terrace once again. It's a huge part of my vision scape so I'm delighted to have it fixed.
I made a quick stop at Office Max for a headset and some replacement cartridges while I was out. More checking off of stuff.
Then I installed Office on the little Lifebook and that went surprisingly well. I set up a network between the two machines and I'll add the laptop in when I get it. I have not done any network work for a long time the last time was and several operating systems ago. XP makes it so easy that I'm fairly sure I could have delegated that task to Jake.
The I sat down and did about an hour's worth of work work and now I think I'm going to take the rest of the day off. Teddy Bears and mindless tv is in my very immediate future.
